Pillar of Hope Support Group

The problem of addiction continues to affect many lives both inside and outside the body of Christ. There are many support services available to those with drug or alcohol addiction. There are almost no places for their caregivers to get help. These are the folks who wring their hands, pray, and generally put up with the craziness of a loved one who has fallen prey to addiction. They wonder if someone will live to see another day, have their belongings stolen and sold for money to buy drugs, and/or watch their loved one descend into what seems to be a bottomless pit. Those caught in addiction need love and support but so do their loved ones who need help bearing a very heavy burden (Gal 6:2).

The purpose of the group is to educate, support, and encourage families, friends, and loved ones of those that are now or have been caught in addiction. Addiction is a family issue. Most families and friends are trying to fight the battle of addiction with little understanding about what goes on within the addicted individuals mind.

If you are interested in this ministry, you are welcome and encouraged to come to the support group as we all learn together. Check our calendar for the next meeting time. There will be a short presentation and then a time for sharing. Everyone will be given an opportunity to share their experiences and/or ask questions. But, if you want to come, take in the program, and listen, that is also fine.

All are welcome!
