Our Focus
We are Centered on Christ
We are a family guided by faith, empowered by hope, and united to love. As an independant, autonomous church body we choose not to carry labels tied to past divisions - our only desire is to be simply known as Christians. When we keep our hearts and minds centered on God rather than ourselves, true harmony becomes possible.
Worship
For the church at Concord, worship is at the heart of all we do.
We are committed to offering uplifting worship each week that inspires and connects. Each month, we explore a thematic worship service to break from routine tradition and bring fresh renewed energy and insight to our shared worship gathering. We celebrate broad participation, welcoming a rich diversity of voices and gifts from our church family. Guest speakers bring fresh perspectives and insights, while our Worship Weekend offer immersive and transformative experiences. Through events like 1,000 Voices, we unite in powerful, collective praise that resonates far beyond our walls.
The Word
The church at Concord desires to be deeply rooted in the truth and power of God’s Word.
We offer engaging classes throughout the year that help people grow in knowledge, faith, and application of Scripture. A new format for Wednesday nights brings fresh energy and connection to midweek study, making God’s Word accessible and alive for all ages. In the fall, we plan to launch standing classes that provide consistent opportunities for deeper learning and spiritual formation.
Youth
We are passionately committed to investing in the next generation.
Our youth ministry offers monthly teen devotionals to build faith and relationships. We strive to empower young people to grow through annual conferences & camps as well as quarterly regional youth gatherings that connects them with others across the greater Charlotte area. With newly launched outreach efforts, our youth are not just being shaped—they are making an impact.
Member Care
Caring for one another is central to our mission as a church family.
We’re continually working to strengthen connections and ensure no one is overlooked. We are updating our photo directory and utilizing the CongreGate App to make it easier to stay connected and support one another. Regulary updated member surveys help us better understand needs, interests, and ways to serve. At the heart of it all is our commitment to knowing every member—by name, by gift, by need, and by story.
Small Groups
Our small group ministry is designed to build deeper community and spiritual growth.
Launched in the spring, our small groups create space for authentic relationships, prayer, and discipleship. We believe in the power of small—that real transformation happens in close-knit communities where people are truly known. By rotating focuses on membership and missions throughout the year, groups are empowered to live on mission together, growing inward in connection and outward in purpose.
Outreach
Our church is committed to changing from an inward focus to being a light in our community through intentional and compassionate outreach.
We serve practical needs through ministries like the Monthly Food Pantry & Clothing Closet and Pillar Of Hope, extending care to our neighbors facing hardship. We are beginning to build relationships through newly launched ‘meet & greet’ events in nearby neighborhoods. We host an annual Labor Day picnic bringing together neighbors, friends, and family. And we plant to come together as a church family more to serve side by side in congregational service events, living out our faith through love in action.
